    Hello everyone!
I recently acquired this coin and I have been trying to figure out exactly what it is that I now have haha! On the front it says one troy ounce .999 silver across the top and one silver eagle across the bottom, the reverse side says one troy ounce .999 fine silver. When I looked online it appears that 'Silver Eagle' coins appear 100% different from what I have and I am unable to locate this coin in specific. It appears to have seen some age but the specific date I can not locate.

Any and all assistance would be greatly appreciated, thank you,
    David

A silver "round" containing one ounce of silver (or so they state). :)

Not to be confused with an American Silver Eagle, which also contains one ounce (troy) of fine silver.

fantastic - thats what I was worried about. I am sure of the contents but was not sure if this was a 'pre American Silver Eagle' or just as Crobatt said, just a normal silver bullion round.

    Thank you

I must confess, I know nothing of the round of which you hold. Perhaps others more knowledgeable will "chime" in.....:)

Bump - might anyone be able to shed some light on this coin for me or at least point me in the right direction? I have no clue of the history aside from 1 oz silver LOL.

    Thank you,
    David

It's not an US coin. Just a bullion round. If the silver content is correct, then it's worth around $36.

Yeah, just a one ounce round. If the refiner/minter isn't on the round, then you probably won't be able to find it out, unless you stumble across the same round online.

Darn! Thank you very much - I was hoping that since the coin looks as if it has been in the elements (toned correct) it might be an older 'special' coin but if it is just a silver bullion I know what is going to be on ebay soon haha!
    Thank you again everyone
