Penny.JPG One old penny. When I look at this coin and hold it, I can almost feel the history of it. I can only imagine when this coin was brand new. I can imagine a lovely mother handing this coin to her daughter and saying, "Now child, I want you to take this down to George's general store and bring me 1 pound of flour, and you can get yourself a peppermint candy". All for one cent.
That is my passion for coins, I love them, their history and story. When this coin was new, Lincoln was not president yet, they had no use for gasoline, manned flight was a dream, etc.
Well I just had to put in my two cents, oops, TWO cents, that is twice as much. (and another story)
    Thank you for reading.
(sorry for the bad pic, but it is the story that counts)

I'd rather not know who touched some of mine, not after some I find roll searching...uggg.

Thank Heaven for hand sanitizer. It is a necessity to the nth degree in coin roll hunting.

You've described the fundamental appeal of numismatics. We collect history, and preserve it for the future.
