I read many comments about why we collect, what we collect, how we collect, how we buy, and how we sell. None of the above have a right or wrong answer. All of us came into this hobby for a personal reason that is entirely unique to ourselves. While a lot of us, enter into it for monetary purposes, does that make us same? There is a line that Danny Devito used in the movie "Other peoples money" that he loved money more than the things money could buy. It seems that this logic often falls into our little hobby. While it is true that our hobby is more business than hobby, we don't have to make it seem that way. We can use our hobby to make friends while we are making money. Now there is nothing wrong with making money, but should that really be the most important aspect of your hobby? At what price would you place a friend? I have made numerous posts that this hobby should be shared with everyone you meet. Make friends everywhere you go. Share yourself along with your hobby. No matter what reason brought you into this hobby, we all share one thing. We buy/sell/collect money. Most people have money in their pocket, and we all want more of it. This is something that everyone has in common. So take a moment in your day to share your hobby with someone new. Become a coin collecting ambassador in your neighborhood, school, workplace, church, or wherever you gather among friends.
