Here is a 1922 50 Kopeek in pretty good shape I forgot I had There was some PVC on it from being in an old holder but a dab of denatured alcohol removed it. Take Care Bone
Khorosho Tovarisch, shmatri mnye "avatar", eta mnye 1921 Poltina. Ya nuzhna novim Poltina 1922 goda. Fine comrade, look at my avatar, this is my 1921 Poltina! I need new Poltina of 1922.
A 1922 poltina fortunately is easy to find and actually still relatively cheap. The 1922 ruble is the one that is a real pain to get hold of and often too pricey and bad grade when I could get hold of one Nice avatar there Krasnaya Vityaz.
The 1921-23 issues were the only Russian coins to have been issued under Communist rule,as the U.S.S.R.'s first coins were issued in 1924,which is the year Lenin died. The silver 1 Rouble is a very difficult coin to find. Aidan.
What do you mean that silver 1 ruble is a difficult coin to find? There are plenty and PROOF coins are known for all 21, 22 and 24. No rubles except chernovetz were minted in 1923.
Gxseries, the Kopecks coins were struck in 1923.The silver 1 Rouble I'm referring to is the R.F.S.F.R.'s one, not the U.S.S.R.'s one. Aidan.
I don't understand. 1921 rubles are not hard to find, although 1922 is a bit more challenging. There ARE proof qualities for both 1921 and 1922 RSFSR 1 rubles although it is difficult to comment on the survival rates of such rubles nowadays.
Gxseries, there are 2 different mintmaster's initials for the 1922.I have never seen a Proof 1 Rouble of either of these 2 dates, however.I have seen a 1914 Gangut Rouble, which is very rare. Aidan.
Proof examples can be found in this Japanese collector's collection: http://park3.wakwak.com/~sim1351/RSFSR_and_USSR.html
