A True-False question for all of you. I am now looking (through a loupe) at the obverse of a 1957D that exhibits classic doubling yet does not appear in the "Cherry-Pickers Guide" or any other authoritative numismatic reference. Am I naive?; suffering from some delayed 1960's drug-induced delusion?; or, might this actually be an undocumented error? An inquiring mind wants to know. In advance, mille grazie!
Welcome. It always helps if you post pictures. There are definitely many other doubled dies for that year that do not appear in the Cherrypicker's Guide.
As for how to post pictures, I shall consult with my infinitely more tech-savvy children. I'm obviously a site neophyte so thank you for your prompt and learned guidance.
Right below the box at the bottom that you type your response in, there is a button that says "Upload a File". You click that, and a window will pop up where you can select photos from your computer to upload.
If you have the image on a site like photobucket, you can use the picture icon ( between the smilie face and video/film icon for an url. Jim
Thanks to all for your assistance. Please bear with me as I stagger into the 21st Century. Image to follow - I hope.
