"Ollie " buffalo nickel

    i carved this buffalo nickel for a hobo nickel collector, i thought Ollie would be a good name for him..

    It took about 6 hours to carve Ollie.

    omg man, thats amazing talent. Was this a regular nickel that was wore flat or something else. I have never seen anything like that. I was totally blown away with it.

    How do you carve nickle? WIth a pocket knife?

    Nickel must be a very hard metal to carve into.You would need to have a carving tool that will carve into it.I can guess that it will have to be diamond-tipped,as nothing will scratch a diamond,apart from another diamond.
