Since at this point I am only getting my coins by searching rolls/boxes, pocket change, etc. I was wondering what is the oldest MS grade coin(s) people have found in circulation. If you can post pics of the coin as well that would be great. Thanks everyone.
No pics, they are in my SDB, but I found 146 BU 1943 steelies in a box search earlier this year. The earliest proof I have found is a 1958 nickel.
My earliest was this 1950-D Jefferson nickel...and a key date too. I found it in some customer wrapped rolls last year.
2009 or early 2010 while hunting the new State Parks Quarters I was standing in line the Young Man in front of me had 2 roll of Dimes+4 rolls cent nickles 2 roll of Quarter.from my view I could see both end of the dime 1 had 1963 the other 1 looked like a 1964 Proof Roosevelt. I ask them if they wanted to sell the roll he said sure it beat standing in a line that not moving.I gave him $20.00 buck he said I do not have change I said not big thing.it was I think $3.00??? after going thru them I had 60 silver Roosevelt Dimes 1 1873 Seated Dime here its photo.I also found 2 1964 25c + about 12-24 wheat cent too.
great finds everyone. No 1950 D yet for me either, nice one Flute. Jello, I'm definitely envious of rolls like that.
