I have a small box or older silvers I bought loose. I don't remember where I bought they any more, but many were from a coin shop which used to sell world silvers at melt about 25 years ago. (Silver was cheap back then!) Anyway, I'm going to try to ID a few and post pictures. Feel free to post any old, junky but fun silvers if you like! Mexico Charles III 2 Reales 1782 (holed) I had trouble making out the mint mark, but from the date (1782) and the FF after the 2R on the reverse, I think it has to be Spanish Mexico. Baden 6 Kreuzer 1847 Leopold I There's a big dent or plugged hole in the center of the reverse. I think this may have seen use as a button at some point.
Austria 1869 20 Kreuzer Franz Joseph I Not positive on the date, but I think the last digit is a 9. Series ran 1868-1872. Germany 1877 A (Berlin) 50 Pfennig I believe there were 2 different circulation types of German 50 pfennig in 1877.
Some German States: Hamburg 1 Schilling 1763 Mecklenburg-Schwerin 1 Schilling Courant 1767 Frederick II I like the "Wal of Text" style reverse design.
Five from Latin America Left to Right: Venezuela 2 Bolívares 1960 Colombia 2 Décimos 1874 Honduras 25 Centavos 1896 Honduras 1/2 Real 1869 (Cu-Ni, not silver) Costa Rica 5 Céntimos 1951 (Cu-Ni, not silver) I assume the copper nickel nickel ones mixed in were not bought as silver. I tried to separate the silvers from other mixed coins much later but I occasionally guessed wrong!
