old silver dollars

i recently found these in an old estate and I can still make out the outline on one of them and it appears that they are peace dollars but they are so worn that there only value would have to be just from silver content so if anyone has any opinions on these or there values in this shape any help would be greatly appreciated.

I think your diagnosis is correct, Peace Dollars reduced to a point where they are worth melt, or a little less.

 

If you can see a full date on one, I'd consider submitting it for lowball collectors.

 

Merc Crazy is right. Believe it or not, there are collectors out there who try to get complete collections of slabbed AG-3 coins!

 

Very cool! When you hold them in your hand like that,can you feel the history? You can't get that with something that spent 80 years in a vault. Call me crazy,but I love coins like these.:yes:

 

Yes i agree, I have a coin collection and love the hobby but when i came across these i had to have them. I will probably keep these in my own collection rather than selling them but I just wanted to get opinions from some others.

 

You never know one of those could have been Babe Ruth's pocket piece!

 

P-01 would be excellent condition compared to these.
