I have the opportunity to buy these halves and some other coins. I was wondering what you thought of them. I know the pics are not real good, but that is what was sent to me. Is there anything that stands out as a possible valuable coin? Do all the coins look legit? If you could post a ballpark price range for these coins that would be great. I would say most of these coins look like they would grade good, right? Is there anything there that would grade higher?
stumpy: Without making a spread sheet, yes, many would grade better than good, aside from the Barber half $'s. Nice Busties, and those Seated are very nice.
I don't mean this as harsh as it sound but you have so many pictures it's hard to keep straight. For the most part they look to be Almost Good (AG) - Very Good (VG). The pictures make are so small it's hard to grade them. What most call low grade. But that doesn't mean they don't have some value. What your asking is a lot of work. It may be easier if you ask your question slightly different. What is the guy asking for all of them? It'd be easier to say if that is high or low then rattling prices off on each. There's just to many pictures to keep bouncing around with. I mean there are 9 sets of pictures, (totaling 18 pictures) each with 4 coins on it. That's 36 coins. It may take people weeks to do it. Just glancing at retail prices in red books on average not being keys the seated libs should run $20 - 30, Barber's $10 -$20 walkers $5 - $15 and Bust halves $60 on up.
I agree with Frank - nice batch of half dollars. I believe several of the bust halves would be better than good.
