    Please post your gold coins. I bought this one two weeks ago. KM 84 1833 Chile 8 Escudos, 27 g, 0.9 gold, mintage 1833/2 I 25,000

    I like the title of your thread, Derick.

    Here is some of my new world gold.

    An 8 Escudos coin dated 1750, only the second year of gold coinage for the Santiago, Chile mint.
    Recovered from the wreck of the merchant ship Nuestra Senora de la Luz, of the coat of Montevideo in the early 1990'6. This one still shows some of the marine deposits.

    The other is an 2 Escudos piece dated 1834, of the early chilean republican period.

    Guys, fantastic coins. That 8 Escudos 1750 is damn fine.
