I would like to learn more about them. They have two dates and one is 1925 the other is 1225. They are the same but different colors. Any idea on what they are worth? Thanks!

The top 1 is GERMANY PORCELAIN MEISSEN 1925 OPPENHEIM STADTRECHT 65MM size #p56 143 Value- $23-25. Many of the red 1's on Ebay now. Not sure of the white 1 ???

I used to have a great book on the German emergency coinage and tokens, but sold it, along with about 50 or so porcelain coins (I actually traded it for some nice Canadian stuff). I forget the title of the book. Most of my coins were Meissen as well. Sorry I can't remember the title.

No worries - that’s pretty cool! I just learned about these today.

Sweet thank you! Do you think they will gain value over the years? Not bad I got these for $1 a piece.

It's a porcelain medal, not a coin. I only have 1 volume of Karl Scheuch's books on German Porcelain, Munzen aus Porzellan and Ton and it doesn't list your medals, only porcelain that have a denomination (hence munzen). Scheuch has other books that catalog porcelain medals.

The crossed swords indicate it was made by Meissen Porzellan

The white and red use different porcelain compositions but were pressed using the same mold. I've seen other medal sets with different colors and the red is usually smaller due to the higher iron contact causing more shrinkage during the firing process. I wouldn't be surprised if this was part of a multi medal set like this

I don't know about these personally. I just looked on Ebay to see what people were selling them at.

Hey thanks for the info! Those sets are really cool and look super similar to what I have. I’ve really enjoyed learning about these. Interesting that you mention the size because the white one is considerable smaller than the red one and it also isnt a perfect circle Like the red, it’s wider on the sides.
