Visiting my Mother-in-Law. She pulled out some old German notes from the 20’s that her 1st husband (My wife’s Dad) brought back after being liberated by Patton from a German prisoner of war camp. She has several others of each of these, these are the nicest ones. They are dated 1922, 1923, & 1920. Kinda cool.

The heads on the bottom most note belong to the Bamberg Horseman.

This statue is very notable because it is the FIRST full-size equestrian statue made since antiquity! Imagine that - the last antique equestrian would probably have been from Constantinople somewhere in the 5th century or so.

This comes from the 13th - it's impressive how detailed and finely sculpted it is, especially considering that the 13th century was not known for having terribly realistic statuary.
