Old coin found in germany

    I inherited this coin from my Father, found in about 3 foot of unexcavated soil in 1970's..Anyone know what it is and where i might find information about it.. Im new to numismatic's and could use help.I could be posting for a while..

    While I can't say for sure as I know little about ancients my guess would be it is a modern reproduction. I do know someone who specializes in these coins and will ask their opinion.

    As I expected - the coin you picture is a modern reproduction. And not a very good one at that for it is a mixture of both Greek & Roman designs. All the same - looks like a neat collectible to me ;)
