  1. What is your favorite Canadian coins? My favorite is the 1912-1914 $5 and $10 gold prices. 5-dollars-1913-gold-coin.jpg

Those are beautiful but my favorite is the large cents. In high grades they are beautiful.

Toonies, Nickels 1922-1936, and Large Cents for me. Also like the 1935 Silver Dollar.

    I'm hoping to cherry-pick a 1936 cent (with dot).

Vicky fish scales (1858-1901 5 cent silver), followed closely by the NB 5 and 10 cent issues, and the 1858 20 cent piece

I am seriously considering adding some silver pre 67 Canadian coins to the collection. I have a lot to learn about them first though. I love the looks of the recent two tone 2 dollar coins also, but I don't even know if they contain any silver, that is how little I know about them. Research, research, research.

Just finished my nickels from 1922-2008. Had several mixed folders going on and finally condensed them all.

I'm only missing the 1925 and the variety ones. Mine runs up all the way to 2017.

Personally, I like large cents, as well... especially the Vicky's. But my favorites are probably the Bank Tokens - Un Sou, Penny, & Half-Penny - from 1837-1857.

I started collecting these last year. I find them fascinating and extremely inexpensive.

I have large cents and a few Bank of Upper Canada Bank Tokens

Sorry, dude. No silver in our toonies (which should have been called doub'loons, IMHO). Actually, no silver in any Canadian circulation coinage after 1968.

Same here, all I have left on Large Cents is the 58.

I’m still drooling over that $10 gold. I wanted one when I heard that they were selling them. I want one more now.

    Nice Vicky Cent!
