    My dad gave me some old coins and was wondering what they are worth. here's some scans

    Welcome to CT , need to know the mint mark on the coins , also pictures of the reverse .

    You would probably get better results if the bottom coins were done seperately , with larger pictures of both sides .

    what's a mint mark? how is a coin graded by the way? I was just trying to get a ballpark figure. thanks.

    MM = mint mark or the place it was made in , it would be the small letter under the eagle on the silver dollar , S,O , CC , no letter means Philidelphia .
    Also the condition of the coin is very important , you should get a book on grading coins , like the Official ANA Grading Standards , a difference of 1 grade could be hundreds or thousands of dollars on rarer coins . Without knowing more I'd say you're top 4 coins are worth maybe $45 , but could be worth a lot more .

    CC would be the most exspensive , but there are varieties for that year that are worth a good buck , like the reverse of 78 ,

    One last thing, is there a trusted grading service? I don't want to have my coins graded only to find out I get another coin returned to me in the mail.

    Mintmark: "O" (for New Orleans) beneath the bow on the reverse
    2nd coin KENNEDY1976-D HALF DOLLAR - BICENTENNIAL. Mintmark:"D" (for Denver, CO) centered above the date.
    3th EISENHOWER DOLLARBICENTENNIAL.
    Mintmark:None (for Philadelphia, PA) between Eisenhower's head and the date.
    4th WALKING LIBERTY HALF DOLLAR,Mintmark:near the rim below the branch on the reverse
    bottom Left to right:Top row.
    1.Philippines-10 Centavos date on reverse side.
    2. Philippines 5 Centavos date on reverse side.
    3. U.S.A. Five Cents 1930 Buffalo mint mark on the reverse side.
    Bottom row:
    1.Philippines-20 Centavos date on reverse side.
    2.U.S.A. Quarter Dollar. 1933 Washington silver.Mintmark:is below the wreath on the reverse
    3.BARBER DIMES, 10 Cents,Mintmark: just below the wreath on the reverse

    I hope this will help, Please post reverse sides of coins. I can't get you the mintmark .

    Double click on each coin to enlarge, The typing got me. He still needs the reverse sides so we can tll the mint marks and larger pictures of the bottom coins.

    '79-O XF-40 $30 , 1936 - P Walking Liberty VF-25 $8.50 , BICENTENIAL 1/2 & DOLLAR
    probably AU to MS-63 around $4 each .

    1932 Quarter no mint mark

    By the pics I can't guess a grade on the dime & nickel , the boffalo looks nice though .
