Old $50 pulled from circulation

I was just given this $50 by my favorite bank teller. It's been around the block a few times but it was cool that it was still in circulation - until today!

Not too bad for a even swap.

Have to wonder if someone else had been holding it for a while and decided to spend it?

Yup, they are getting scarce. I've gotten 2 small face $50.00 this year from the tellers.

That is one sweet find considering it's a 1934 B.

 

Exactly - I would think a note this old is a pretty rare find. If I worked in a bank my paychecks would go towards pulling notes like this for my own collection! If nothing else it would be a great way to save money - literally.

It's not in the best shape (but I'm sure it has a great story if it could only talk) but I will keep it .

I would keep it. About 2 years age you could still find the small face 50's and hundreds but now I very seldom come across them.
