    And before somebody thinks I've gone off the deep end and forsaken gold in favor of silver :rolleyes: - here's another of my favorite ducat designs.

    The 1729 Holland, Netherlands ducat. This particular BU example, along with almost the entire mintage, was on a ship, the Vliegenthart, headed for the Dutch East Indies, that sank off the coast of the Netherlands in 1735. It was not recovered until 1981.

    So it was dipped in the ocean. I would never own a dip coin myself. lol.
