Yeah, that has been the latest black eye to coin collectors. These pop up once a decade of so, either investing in rare coins, or bullion that is not there, etc. Seems that about the only national news coin collectors ever get is negative.
Hmmm... they seem so concerned about whether the delay is politically motivated. Odd that the "scandal" happened in 2005, and they raise it as an issue three weeks before the election in a battleground state. Is it possible the reporting is politically motivated ?
Sad, but there's some truth to this. Some feel Big Media is intrinsically negative. Coins get positive publicity when there's a huge bellringer auction - a 1933 Saint etc. Perhaps we should all sell off our 1933 Saints ! Empty out those safe deposit boxes ! Let's get some positive pub.
"I think the tentacles of this scandal go much deeper, much wider than anybody knows..." Ooooh, a coin collecting cabal.
Talk about having a Homer Simpson moment, I always thought lead and zinc were just used because they were cheap. But lead is 11.35 zinc 7.05. They're just calculating the correct % of one to mix in with the other to get 10.46. Doooooh, Bill.
Yeah, I think I'll just go to work early. At least I won't have to do any thinking. Just have to pretend that I care.
