Thought I would get one of these rolling. The ATB program has been live for several years now, so it will be interesting to see what the mintages will look like as we roll on to the lesser known parks. I used Wikipedia for the sources of the mintages, which in turn was retrieved from the U.S. Mint. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/America_the_Beautiful_Quarters As of now, looks like the Acadia Denver quarter has a paltry total mintage of 21,606,000. Total with P & D comes to 46,606,000. However, the lowest so far is the Chaco Culture with a total P & D mintage of approx. 44,000,000. The highest to this point is no surprise, and that's the Chickasaw, with P & D combined mintage of 143,200,000. I find a ton of these in pocket change. I predict a sub-10mil mintage here in the next couple years. We'll see how true this will be. I'll be updating this as we go through each release.
I don't think I've ever seen a single ATB quarter in pocket change.... not sure if I'm the exception or the rule... The first one I ever saw was in my yearly mint set the year they were released. Outside that, the only one I've seen was in the give-away slab PCGS did earlier this year and ones I've now bought directly from the mint as "S" rolls....
Here's the link I use at the US Mint for mintages. http://www.usmint.gov/about_the_mint/index.cfm?action=coin_production&atbYear=2012#starthere
Here's what it says at the top of that page. These coin production figures represent all of the circulating coins produced by the United States Mint, including the coins sold through the Numismatic Bags and Rolls Program. The numbers do not include the proof or uncirculated quality (UNC sets) coins produced by the Mint.
Thanks for the link! I noticed the low number of White Mountain from Philadelphia, not that 68.8 million of anything would be a rarity...
Yeah, 2013 saw the beginning of the highest mintages, White Mountain P being the lowest of 2013. 2010, 2011 & 2012 saw much lower mintages, 2012 being the lowest year so far.
