Off Center With Clip Quarter

    Hey gang!

    I picked this guy up today. I think the coin was struck off center on the clipped planchet as it looks to show the Blaksley effect.

    I see no Blakesley effect at the pole opposite the clip. You'd have to weigh it to be certain this planchet has a curved clip. It's possible that it instead shows a concave chain strike. If that's the case, its weight will be normal.

    Mike I was thinking the little disturbance at 7 on the obverse might be it. Ill get a weight on it tomorrow.

    A chain strike did however cross my mind.
