Just found this and thought i'd let you know.
I cant BELIEVE something like this could make its way into circulation and stay for so many years.

I always wondered, how major offcenter errors make it to circulation... This would never fit in a bank wrapped roll! Anybody have insight on how dramatic errors like this make it to circulation?

    BTW... NICE FIND!!!

Sweet! I have never found a Lincoln that far off centered, and I have looked through an awful lot of Lincolns.

82 is when they changed them to zinc, before it was copper

It's a shame I ever read that law. It says it is only illegal to KNOWINGLY melt them.

You just made $1000 from $500 worth of change!

  18. Cool. Then after $9000.00 more dollars and 5 years later I could enjoy that money. :mouth:

I still like that coin. I've got 5 1990 cents just as off as that one. These were supposed to be from the same coin bag. I love them, all dates showing.

you can't melt silver coins, but people still buy them for $10 each. same for copper cents in the future. nice off center!
