Seems to me this is a very interesting and attractive option for collectors. Will 2006 really be the only reverse proofs? Seems odd that the mint would abandon the process after only one year. I'd love to see the reverse proof used more.
With the Mint reducing the number of items they offer by 60% I think it highly unlikely they would decide to add a new item at this time. But stranger things have happened.
My guess is the mint will do another reverse proof for the 25th or 30th anniversary sets. It was/is a popular design and do not see the mint abandoning this process all together. I do not believe we will ever see it released as a single item. That is my story and I am sticking to it.
I STILL haven't forgiven the US Mint for screwing up my order for this one. I will not pay the money being asked for this coin (at least I have not become that desperate yet :goofer: ).
