    Hi,

I have this beautiful Anniversary 1967 dime from Canada, and I think it's a proof, but it has many marks on the obverse that break up the toningl Are they scratches?

    Thanks!

I think the breaks in the toning is just splotchy toning.

Better pictures would help to tell if it is a proof-like, specimen or circulation strike, as the Canadian mint didn't start minting proofs until later (I believe it was the Montreal Olympics)

Windchild is correct that the breaks are from the toning.
Here's one of mine for reference.

Yeah. Canadian coins really tone some crazy colors and patterns. All very different then U.S. coins.

Here is another one that really shows that "scratchy" look in the toning.

    Yea...

I believe it has to due with the purity of the silver at 80%...

Thank you all for responding and helping me figure this out! I love the toning, and it's such a pretty coin, I have the dollar from the centennial series also, but it's pretty scratched up even though its proof-like.
