Here is a Lincoln Cent that exhibits a few anomalies. I have not seen this before so I thought I would post it here to gather up a few opinions. Here are the things I noticed (there may be others). 1. There is a gouge on the left side of the obverse. I reckon it could be explained away as nothing unusual and that is was post mint damage. But…. 2. The back of Lincoln’s head is very weak looking 3. Take a look at the rim on the left. It appears to be doubled. My questions are Anybody know how this might have happened? Might this be some rare variety and I can retire or something fairly common? Thanks http://www.mycoinpictures.com/showphoto.php/photo/489/size/big/cat/
I think it is damage strike a bit weak a tad off of perfectly centered, giving that rim effect I think it is worth no more than regular MS-60 money.
