I normally get rolls of dimes, nickels and pennies and search them(like most of you do). Well in a dime roll I came across 22 silver dimes and 12 were mercury. I guess the economy is bad when you have that much silver around. Maybe it is my bank but every dime roll I open there is at least 2 silver.
You're right about the state of the economy freeing all those low value coins... Coin dealers are probably getting more "What are these worth?" offers to sell than "How much is that?" from collectors wanting to buy... Clinker
Guess it's time to see if I can have my bank order some bags of Half Dollars and Dimes. I don't even bother with the quarters as those are usually pretty dry for me.
yea I have really good ties with my bank. They call me whenever they get something. I really enjoy it. But most young coin collectors 50 years ago could count on silver change and I am stuck with clad
thank you. I get really excited when I get some new rolls. The tellers dont understand and they look at me like I am crazy. Well what would you think if you saw a 14 year old walk into the bank and come out with $100 dollars worth of rolls. Today I limited myself to $50 lol.
Get back there and buy more, and if no silver than take naother roll and put all of the modern clad into a new roll and turn them into the bank for money
turn the change in to a different bank so you don't get the same coins back when you decide to get more!
yes but I dont have to worry about that because I turn it in to the machine which goes back to Richmond so the chances of gettingthe same coin are so rare.
