I have some older dime, quarter and half dollar original bank rolls and want to place them into a tube or something to protect them, any suggestions?
Coin supply stores carry many different types of plastic coin containers, so I'm not sure what you are asking. Check the different online stores and see what they have that will meet your needs. https://www.thecoinsupplystore.com https://www.wizardcoinsupply.com/products/coin-tubes/ Or simply "Google" it.
I guess when the roll of quarters are wrapped in an old shotgun roll it won;t fit in a plastic tube for quarters. Do they make a plastic holder for these original rolls? I think on the dimes I can place them in a quarter or maybe even a nickel tube but I haven't figured out what to do with the quarters.
If you have a pharmacy friend or even Walmart, you might want to use pill tubes. They come in various sizes and are usually airtight. If you have a lot of sick people around, ask them to save them for you. https://www.walmart.com/ip/VIAL-13-DRAM-AMBER-SAFETY-CAP-25-PACK/209101144 Amazon has some also. Jim
I purchased the white / opaque square CoinSafe Tubes For US Quarters (25.5mm) recently from Wizard (when they had a sale on their eBay store) and they do hold rolls of Tuskegee Airman quarters in the paper wrappers, though it's a tight squeeze. They make these tubes in various sizes. I first contacted CoinSafe as I was concerned whether these were safe for longterm storage of silver coins (no PVC / etc) and I received a nice response from their Director of Operations, stating: "Yes, our tubes are meant for long term (or short term if you choose) storage of precious metals. The materials used are PVC free and are inert to all precious metals. I cant reveal the full materials used but they are made of a polypropylene base."
