I know, very scientific of me and my one roll sampling :joyful:

Some of you that Mint rolls and fresh solid vendor rolls are my favorite kinds of "white glove" searches!
Picked up a few rolls from my credit union and got my first solid roll of 2022 nickels.
Severe rolling machine damage on the ender so I'm forced to have to open it

Let me just say that it looks like finding the 67s and 68s in the 2022 nickels is going to be a super duper challenge!

I noticed that these nickels not only have plenty of slide marks and chatter but also plenty of really sharp dings and nicks. Also the mirrored fields around Jefferson's portrait are mostly not so smooth. Certainly could be representative of my one roll lol.

    The roll...

    Improperly annealed?
Notice the difference in color, and it's not like a satin finish it's spotted and darker.

Fun thread. I sometimes get a coin in change with killer luster but the hits mess it up.

I feel that the quality of US coins has gone downhill fast. These look typical to what I see in modern coins. But, if they are mint rolls then they are MS at least.
