Here are some very old and very small Greek obols. Circa 350 - 500 BC. Like to see some more, so lets post your tiny bits. ;)

*hiss*, a gorgon/anchor. Had acquired a fake a few months ago of those now its turned me off on them. At least I got a refund though. You know it its real?

The others are cool though. Would like to get some greek silver but I always drag myself back to romans and early moderns.

Sorry you got cheated Mat. It happens to all of us, even GD posted one he got faked out on. However the Diobol of the Gorgon is a known type The Cryfish/Anchor and A identify this piece as coming from Apollonia in Thrace (modern Bulgaria) it wieghs out correctly. If it is a fake, at least its a good one. :)

Yep, If Arda and DS are worried, I will be too. At anyrate, my example is different in many fundamental ways to the one you posted in that very informative thread. Thanks Mat. Live and learn.

Tiny Treasures are among my favorites so I'll start by offering a few I like from Athens and Phocaea.

Cool stuff Ripley, I hope to add some of these Greek types to my collection eventually. My favorite of the types I think is the Istros with the Sea Eagle on the reverse..... I always liked that reverse, plus the obv busts of the Dioscuri is pretty neat.

Wow dougsmit those are some cool little coins. Very pretty Athenian ones.
