Hello everyone, I just got home. I went to the NYINC for about 2 hours. I decided just to do a few coins from Spain.. Here is what I acquired Barcelona - Cataluya Charles II 1674 - 1700 Croat 1698 https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces110656.html Spain - Bañolas Philip III 1599 - 1621 Dinero Spain Alfonso XIII 1903 1 Peseta
Nah.. I didn't have hundreds or thousands to buy the Greek Owl I wanted! That's your opinion. But thanks
How was the show overall? Busy? Plenty of people or a smaller crowd? Were you able to view all the tables or did you stop once you found the coins you purchased? What was pricing like in general?
My opinion? Then when do you think medieval ends and the modern era begins Maybe I am uninformed...I got my degree in history with a master's specializing in European history with only an emphasis on medieval history
What uniform are you wearing? (smiley = joke) The puke face in your original comment is probably the source of the "opinion" comment. Some don't like anything "modern" while others think all eras of coins have cool specimens.
It was busy but I know Saturday and Sunday will be hectic. I viewed most of the tables and saw the Barcelona coin from the start. I went back before I left and haggled for a better price which I won't mention at the moment. The real ancient coins were simply amazing but totally priced out of my range. I witnessed serious collectors shelling out thousands on gold and silver Roman and Greek coins.
I wore a Navy uniform thanks, I fixed the typo. I don't mind modern coins; but don't like or understand them on the ancients board.
@lordmarcovan @ToughCOINS Can you kindly move my thread over to the World Coins forum.. someone is complaining that they feel none of my Newps belong here Maybe they can sleep better when you get the move done
