NYC International Numismatic Convention. Jan 12th - Jan 15th Anyone went or is going this weekend? It opened to the public yesterday http://www.nyinc.info/
I'd love to attend some day - it's the most important US event of the year for World and Ancient issues and the associated auctions are absolutely top-tier. I think it's the only place one ever sees all the major auction houses sponsoring simultaneous events. As a "coin show," though, it's no larger than a regional US issues show like Gettysburg. 115 tables on the bourse. I'm guessing the whole thing is not geared towards the "average" collector.
I would like to go and see if I can get myself a Widows Mite. Also take some coins to see if NGC is slabbing.
Educational Coin has like 5 bags of widow's mite based upon quality you can cherrypick through if you go.
I went for 2 hours. Bad headache I did a 13 coin submission to NGC. Got my Widow's Mite and some free magazines. Now home to rest
