I just got a few rolls of the NV quarter. I like it! I like the action in it with the horses running. They did a good job of rendering the scene. It's now one of my top three quarter designs--maybe my favorite.
When I see that design, I keep thinking of the 1960 movie "The Misfits" where Clark Gable and Montgomery Clift round up wild horses in Nevada for use as dog food.
I'm from Nevada and I think it looks like a 13 year old girl conjured up the horse sceen. We had an on-line vote of 5 or 6 designs to choose from, one being a ram that I liked the best -solid bold design that looked great-but it ended up second in the overall vote...oh well, it's still better then a lot of state quarters out there.
