Much of the FAO series is mundane and boring, but occasionally a truly inspirational and unique design appears. And this one from 1971 in Poland, a 10 Zt coin is right up there with some of the must unusial designs one will find. The reverse of the coin has an image of a women's breast being kissed by an infant, and the coins theme is man's first food.

This sample graded from Anacs as an MS64 and was conserved by them. They did a nice job on it. First, prior to going for grade..

The yellow tone to the silver was real. Anfer it went for grading notice the improvement

Now - one thing that you see in this coin that is quite remarkable for a modern coin, is that it has no rim to speak of! That is rather stark in the design. The reverse has some chipping or minor planchet defects on the edge of the reverse that held this example to an MS64. overal it is a beutiful coin with a bold design.

Great looking design, had to look twice to get the full effect! :D

Unfortunately, the fact that there is no rim will probably cause the design of many of the circulated coins to wear very quickly.

Lovely design, but I don't think this ever circulated. The one in this thread, for example, is a pattern coin.
