I know alot of you don't care for culls or damaged coins, but I have always had a likeing for them (doubleing many of my coins with culls so i can "handle" the cull without worry of damage)
Anyhooo... Got this one in a recent lot (posted a few days ago) but this coin showed no details in the sellers pic (bought the lot for another coin in it)
I don't know how else to explain it but when held I can feel this coins long history.

I know what you mean mrweaseluv. The history involved in the coins, tokens or whatever we collect is very important to me and really brings a new dimension to my collection. I like your Penny...if only she could talk and tell us what she's been up to for the last 100+ years.

I love the history aspect of coins ! Here's a couple I used to own that I have described many times.

This one is one of the earliest coins ever minted in the New World. And it was struck in the actual home of Hernan Cortez in Mexico City in 1542.

This one was struck in 1364 for the express purpose of paying the ransom for the French King Jean II who had been captured in battle by the Black Prince of England.

Of course the stories, the histories, of both of these coins would require a book for each. But just those short sentences of mine, they kind of give you an idea ;)
