Today the US Mint began offering the First Spouse Bronze medals in sets of all 4 medals issued in 2007. These include the Dolley Madison medal which isn't offered by itself yet. It would have been nice to know that this set was going to be offered. I bought several each of the individual medals (some to give as gifts to my kids) but would have waited if I'd known the sets were going to be available. Why does the mint wait so long to announce their plans?
I agree... I bought the individual medals also. Would have been nice if I would have known of this new and unexpected offering of 4 medals in a pack.
For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. Mint decided to offer the first spouse gold coins as a set, then changed their mind. Now they change their mind and offer the Bronze medals as a set. It is weird they didn't say anything sooner.
