I recently been giving eBay the benefit of the doubt I'm trying some random low cost purchases and have been consistently let down. Here is yet another example. https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https://www.ebay.com.au/ulk/itm/352896886352
There is plenty of good stuff on Ebay. You have to be patient, you have to be very selective, and you have to pay very close attention. There is a lot of trash, but there is a lot of quality. A large portion of my collection has come from Ebay.
I find tons of stuff on ebay daily! The only thing is sometimes the price sellers want is far too high compared to auction results, etc. So much eye candy on ebay regarding world crowns for me honestly.
Just reading a thread here about the 1991 Russian coins (first for Russian Republic) and went on e bay and got a set for $10 shipped. (I'm too impulsive)
People will put nearly anything on eBay. Of course, 99.99% of it is either trash or overpriced (or both), because 99% of everything is trash, and everybody wants to get the highest price they possibly can when selling. But sometimes good stuff slips through.
May I ask why am just starting sell some of my coin hunting items on ebay maybe I will ask what's best way
Some like eBay and it works for them. I choose not to as I have numerous other resources to buy coins from. There are too many dishonest people and only a handful of honest ones.
It's the images. Your buying coins based on images. I should have been clear in the beginning. I am referencing to raw coins I've purchased. There is not supposed to be any distractions on proofs. Otherwise they were mishandled.
