Does anyone have a book of Notgeld that they could use to look this puppy up for me?

I picked it up at a pawn shop for a $1 last year, and so far haven't been able to find out much about it. The online notgeld resources show other notes from Cleve, but not this one.

Any info (value, rarity, etc.) would be appreciated.

you paid too much :) No...its almost worthless in that shape...in good shape it would be cheap...interesting example of hyper inflationary bills of the time.

I kind of figured it'd be worth 10 cents, 11 cents at the outside.

At the time it was my first german hyperinflation note (I'm up to a few dozen now) and I grabbed it because... well, just because.

As for the value a bit high but not as high as I have seen some for sale and I am not talking about rare notes either, some people see the value on the note and assume that it must be worth a fortune LOL

Back in June I bought a bulk lot of notes from a dealer in Victoria. In it was a whack of 10 million mark notes. So many, in fact, that I started giving them out to co-workers hoping that I'd kick-start another collector.

Anyway, one co-worker cornered me a week later and asked if I had anymore of the notes. She had used her note as a 'lucky charm' at a poker game and the other players started a bidding war to buy it off her. They saw the age and denomination and assumed it was worth a small fortune.

Sadly, she took advantage of the situation and sold it for $35, even after I told her it was only worth about a dollar. No more notes for her.
