I have a question about a coin. It is the shape of a square. The date on the front of the coin says 1890 and the image on the front appears to be the same as the Liberty Head nickel. The tiara says Liberty, like the nickels from 1883-1913. There are a number of stars bordering the coins (can't give exact number because some have faded off) The reverse side appears to be blank or any wording cannot be seen. What could it be? Below is a image of the coin (sorry for the poor image quality).
Do you have a macro setting on your camera? It might be labeled with a flower. Those pics will get you nothing.
I took another shot at trying to get a clearer picture of the coin. Any help or ideas would be appreciated. :hail:
Any ideas as to why someone would be inclined to do that to a coin? Seems like a lot of work to make a coin useless.
