The silver round that's not exactly a silver round. This was in a 20 coin silver round purchase I made a year or so ago. Upon looking closely (all were different) I noticed this one wasn't exactly as described, LOL... For those of us here old enough to remember all the history lessons on TV and buildup before the Bicentennial Celebration in 1976 this was a sterling silver .925% medal issued in 1973, Committees of Correspondence just for the US Postal Service. And, just when you thought you were safe, LOL... The NorthWest Territories memorialized in 1 ounce of sterling silver
cool Hey, it,s the beer guy that had nothing to do with beer! Really, that's a nice token/round/ commem. Is there a collectors value to it, or is it just a nice bullion piece?
I would think that the quality and unique designs would outweigh the "lost" 7.5% of an ounce of silver. Very nice.
The second one I purchased knowing it was a medal when I was at Cold Lake CFB on a TDY. It's 40grams in weight. Take Care Ben
