Hello ladies and gentlemen, As mentioned in the title, it appears today is NOT my good day in identifying coins. I bought 7 today and I managed to identify only 2. This should be easy but ... 3.46 g 17.69 mm The seller's notes stated ... NERVA. Perhaps he wanted to say "Nerva was born 400 years later"? Any ideas, please?
250? Don't guess incorrectly who is on the reverse. Using the obverse and AE would be plenty. Most hits on Herodotus' suggestions are silver.
Thanks for the hints. I don't have any other coin from Catania (if I got it correctly - https://www.acsearch.info/search.html?id=4526247 ) so it's a good addition. @dougsmit - I was joking in the last part of the message, the guy I bought this coin from has no ideas about ancient coins and he didn't know who wrote that note stating Nerva. I tried to explain him that this coin is not related to Nerva, but he was like "it says Nerva here, so it's Nerva".
