I've had this in my "unclassified" box for a long time: I'm not sure it shows in the photo, but it's a nearly perfect 1st brockage. It may just be a token, but my knowledge of non US coins is limited, to say the least. Can anyone identify this? Thanks.....
It's a 1 Yen from Japan, KM 70 made in 1948, 49, and 50. Can't tell what year this one was because the date was on the other side. Should be brass 19.5 mm in diameter.
Boy! Are you ever on the money. Thanks a lot. I've been wondering about this coin for a long time. Yes it is brass and measures slightly over the 19.5 mm because of some distortion, I suspicion, due to the extra pressure from two coins in the chamber. Thanks for taking the time to respond.
