I have looked at Constantius II for this coin but (almost) all of the fallen horseman "FEL TEMP REPARATIO" types have an obverse legend of D N CONSTANTIUS P F AVG and I don't believe that that is the obverse legend on this coin. Can someone please tell me what they think the obverse legend is please, so that I can go on to attribute this coin? Also, is the mintmark "TS" (Thessalonika)? Thank-you, (or)
@maridvnvm Thank you, Martin. In that case I believe it to be CONSTANTIUS GALLUS RIC VIII Thessalonica 169.
Could it be Rome? RS in exe. I just thought the style was more consistent with Rome Similar in style to mine from a different issue?
@maridvnvm I agree with you, totally, but I cannot find a G5/D1 with a mintmark of 'RS' in RIC. Am I doing something wrong? I know that 'Wildwinds' shows RIC VIII Rome 268 with a mintmark of 'RS' but 268 in RIC has a mintmark of 'RP'. (Also, I believe the word 'REPARATIO' to be unbroken on my coin, and not RE_PARATIO.)
