Yesterday, I watched "Dragnet - 1970" on METV, and this episode centered around three 15 year old cases from 1956. One segment concerned the purported theft of a 1915-S $50 Gold Pan Pac (Round) which was valued at $400 in 1956. In the end, the owner discovered that it had only been misplaced, and he took it to the police station to show it to Sgt. Friday and Detective Gannon. It was in the original presentation case, and he made it a point to tell them that it was now (1970) worth $6,000.

Gee, I'll take it for that price!
