Most of you may have noticed by now that I'm pretty hostile towards grading companies. But hey, live and let live. If someone wants to slab their coin, let them. And of course, we've had a few discussions on slabbing ancients in particular. Do you recall that mislabeled ancient that we showed? Well, its not over yet! Howabout this lovely Vespasian "aureus" in an upcoming auction? How many mislabels do I have too see? http://www.teletrade.com/coins/lot.asp?auction=2438&lot=2541
Dang, that's some funky looking gold. Most of the mislabels aren't even close. I could see it if they were using RIC numbers and were off occasionally on the numbers, but this is like calling a Morgan a double eagle.
