In the past, I saw a lot of "which camera do you use" posts. Thought I'd post something as I'd been having problems taking pics. I recently bought a Carson Mm-480o Zorb (bought it specially to post on this site), it seems to work okay, although somewhat sucks for shinny coins. Anyone else ever use one of these and know how to turn the lighting down? Thanks. Chas.
LoL, hey Mpcusa, check out my first posts and photo's when I joined. You'll see why I had to go out and spend.
I have never seen one, before I googled it from this post. I assume the camera part is the part that projects down from the "egg" shaped main body, and the lights are LEDS around it??? If so, I would suggest cutting pieces out of a clean plastic milk bottle that would cover the lights, and cut a hole for the lens. The semiopaque plastic should reduce the light and diffuse it some for the brighter coins. Maybe even a couple of pieces so you could control the light. Just an idea. Jim
I looked at one of those "Egg" Things.. Dont like the was they have to bo right over the coin.. I have been fooling around with HOMEMADE stuff.. I collect odd lenses so.. After several OK working Models.. I have broken down and Just got one of these.. With the EBAY Coupon I had it Only cost me 15.00.. I will let you all know how well it works when it gets here.. My home made job ended up OK But tricky to focus..
