Hoping I don't get too ahead of myself here, I haven't got the coins in hand yet, but today was a fruitful day at the recent Baldwin Auction.

I managed to snag my first portrait Caesar denarius, as well as a cistophoric tetradrachm of Augustus I can add to my lone Hadrian.

What I'm most excited for however is this lot of Marc Antony and Octavian, I see a couple nice ones in there! Post any coins you might have won at the Baldwins auction, or anything you like!

I saw those lots. I have another 3 day auction going on today, but might participate in some later Baldwin's stuff closing soon.

I think a whole collection was sold by Baldwin's today. There were some very spectacular lots in their sale.

Hardaker is famous for his book on Indian punch-marked coins. Looks like he had an extensive collection of other areas.

    Great coins, OP & others.

It was an interesting auction - someone drew my attention to it the day before - I'd looked before and totally overlooked all the Hardaker coins. In the end, I got four Augustan denarii. I chased an Aegypto Capta denarius for a while, but gave up - it went fairly cheaply at £640, but who knows how far the other guy would have gone!

Perhaps tempting fate by posting these before I receive them, but I haven't paid for them yet either, so maybe that cancels things out :D Two of them recreate Roman Republican reverses, so I posted my version of the originals too.
