In appreciation of the sporting achievements of King Olav V of Norway (1903-1991), (he won the sailing gold medal in the 1928 Olympics) and was a competition circuit competitor in ski-jumping. This beast of a copper medal, 45mm dia, 4mm thick and weighing 48.34 gr, was struck, with the mint info bottom right and "The Sports King" top left.
