Very somber and scary stuff. I lost a number of family members in that siege. My grandmother was orphaned along with her older brother (ages 4 and 7). Her parents died of starvation, having given what little rations of bread they had to to their children.

 

Wow... those were very difficult times... it should never be repeated again...
