Norman English coins - Henry I - mints

    Please can someone confirm whether Henry the first type XIV coins (pellets in
    quatrefoil) were minted in Rochester (in particular moneyer Robert). Many thaks in anticipation.

    Well I can say that Henry I had coins minted in Rochester but can not say more than that as I cant get at my books :mad:

    To the best of my knowledge the only coins of Henry I that were struck at Rochester were type 1. There were only 5 mints that did not strike type 14 - Ilchester, Rochester, Shrewsbury, Southhampton and Totnes.
