Non Cents Others Did I ? Penny

    What you have found is a very nice large cud. The reason part of the reverse did not strike up is part of the obverse die broke off (which caused the obverse cud). Most of the reverse struck up normally but where the obverse die broke off the obverse die could not apply any force to the planchet to strike it into the reverse die. Hope that makes sense.

    I stopped at my local Walmart last night and asked the girl at the bank if she had any extra change I could buy, I got $20.00 in nickles and have a 1960 Canadian stop sign nickle and 22 39-58 nickles and out of $5.00 in penny's about 150 pre 82's a nice 1951 canadian Penny, This penny above plus one that I need to clean up a bit cause its also weird. and a few Wheaties.
